Confessions of a Designer - Quotes from the world of design (by Anneke Short )
All of these.
Might I add two of my personal faves?
“What. Pay you for a simple illustration? Can’t you do that, like, in between your other drawings?”
- Fuck you?
“I have a friend who has a friend who knows someone who would do this for free, you know?”
- Then let that person do it for you because I definitely won’t.

The “Candelier” I make for Jellio has just over 3000 hand cast acrylic GummiBears. At 18” diameter, it creates quite a focal point in any room it is installed in.
These are sold at Jellio.com
There are 2 sizes:
18” diameter: $2400.00 open edition
31” diameter: $6500.00 open edition
I built the one for i-Carly and installed it on the set
I am the production manager for Jellio.
These are all hand made by me.
I am also the creator and producer of the “Gummilight” for Jellio, also seen on the i-Carly set.
‘Roly poly’, designed by the Design Incubation Centre at the National University of Singapore, are a pair of egg-like objects that mirror each other’s movements, even when physically separated. Two people thus can sense each other’s presence despite distances across the world: a tap of one half will create a simultaneous reaction in the other.
Want.oh god ;A;
This is… amazing. ;~;
From Singapore, people ^^

Whimsy while you work out…
The Japanese design firm Nendo constructed a wall at the Illoiha fitness center, that exercises your creativity as well as your body. You might feel like you’re Alice in a crazy fitness wonderland as you climb up the frames and other holds.

This fascinating creation came to my attention a few days ago, while reading the december issue of guitarist. This is a Meyer Guitars Telecaster built for John5. The body is clear plastic, most likely some form of chambered acrylic construction, and it’s filled with a green fluid. Cooler still, this sucker has several high-intesity green LEDs under the bridge pickup/plate assembly so the fluid glows, as in the 2nd picture. I’ve seen fluid filled guitars before, but this is badass. Spec wise, it’s built like John’s other teles, this has usual DiMarzio D-Activator bridge pickup, a volume and a tone. With a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard I bet this thing oozes solid rock tones. John5 is known for his badass playing style and image, and this guitar definitely fits in with both.
Holy shit thats awesome!
